Following the satisfying success of the CD You'll Wish You'd Come Along, with Tim Finch and the Good Deale Bluegrass Band, I got to thinking about a project of my own. My hopes were that some of the guests who played with Windy Ridge over the years would join in the fun. The truth is that there could have been a hundred good people in that category, but, as it turned out,  eight were enough, this time. Most of the songs are "older"ones, recorded many times by many people. "Old" stuff is the reason bluegrass is so great. Go to a jam; they're playing mostly old stuff. Play a club and lots of requests are for . . . Yep, old stuff. The old songs were, are, and will remain great fun to play and hear. Here's hoping the "new"stuff of bluegrass (including mine) will last long enough to be the "old"stuff one day.
