The Good Deale Bluegrass Band 


 

 

Tim Finch, founder of  Good Deale Bluegrass, realized his love of bluegrass at age 17 and went directly from Jimmy Hendrix to Earl Scruggs. Recently he had the distinguished honor of performing with the Country Gentlemen Reunion band as part of the  50th Anniversary Country Gentlemen Festival at Watermelon Park. His unique mandolin style and strong tenor adds to the trademark of the band. Tim has been a familiar face on the music scene through performances, promotions and more recently, a representative of  Eastman Strings. You can also see him perform with The Eastman String Band. A staple in the  Baltimore Bluegrass scene, John Odell is an inspirational singer and songwriter that  has been a pillar in the bluegrass community for over 30 years. 

   Chris Walls is well known throughout the Maryland area for his clean, steady bass work. In addition, he is a songwriter and his strong tuneful voice rounds out the vocal sound of  Band. You also catch Chris in performing in the Eastman String Band.
  

Jon Glik, or "Baltimore Jonny" as he is sometimes known as, is back on stage after receiving his new liver. He has played with everyone from Del McCoury to David Grisman. You can hear him regularly on the "basement tapes" on MPR and also plays with many area groups including the dance company Footworks and the Eastman String Band.     Mike Munford. An absolute master of his craft, Mike is the player that great banjo players pay to see. His precise, powerful drive makes him a sought-after session man and a invaluable addition to the band.

Wayne C. Taylor. The Good Deale Bluegrass Band adds this critically acclaimed performer to it's list of members. Wayne has shared the stage with countless National and Internationally known musicians. His latest CD "Buffalo Shoals" is receiving rave reviews and topping the charts on bluegrass radio.
