Combining the talents of Good Deale Bluegrass founder and multi-instrumentalist Tim Finch, vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Savannah Finch, Fiddle master Jon Glik, bassist extraordinare Chris Walls, and percussionist Demetrios Kakavas, the Eastman String Band creates a unique and exciting acoustic sound all their own. Sponsored by Eastman Strings, they mix heartfelt originals with high energy instrumentals and soaring harmonies. Their 'Alt-grass with a touch of celtic' leaves audiences cheering for more!

Tim Finch  

The ESB keeps this founder of Good Deale Bluegrass working hard alternating between rippin banjo, killer mandolin leads, and tuneful vocals. Recently Tim had the distinguished honor of performing with the Country Gentlemen Reunion Band as part of the 50th Anniversary Country Gentlemen Festival at Watermelon Park. Also a prominent member of the Good Deale Bluegrass Band, Tim has been a familiar face on the music scene through performances, promotions, XM radio airplay, and more recently a representative of Eastman Strings. Savannah Finch

Contributing Powerful lead vocals, sweet harmonies, and driving rhythm guitar, Savannah is also a singer-songwriter that has been featured at Nashville's renowned "Bluebird Cafe".  Singer and Musician magazine says "her voice is so smooth and sweet it's almost addictive". She has opened for such nationally renowned musicians such as BB. King and Alison Krauss and made multiple recordings from her years performing with Primitive Mind.

 

 

 

 

Jon Glik

A.K.A “Balitmore Jonny”, our good friend Jon is back on stage after receiving his new liver continuing to amaze audiences with his great tone and speed. He has played with everyone from Del McCoury to David Grisman and his music can be heard regularly on NPR. He also appears with the dance group Footworks as well as the Good Deale Bluegrass Band.

Chris Walls

A seasoned pro, Chris
began playing acoustic bass at the tender age of 8. Chris has appeared with many notable talented musicians such as Jimmy Martin, Mike Auldridge, and Rickie Simpkins to name a few. You can also see him live and hear some of his original music on recordings with the Good Deale Bluegrass Band.

 

 

 

 

Patrick  McAvinue

Young, fresh, inspiring, talented, spirited, and gifted are all adjectives that describe this multi-instrumentalist virtuoso. At just 19 Patrick has already shared the stage with National performers such as Marty Stuart and Micheal Cleveland as well as a host of others. We are delighted to have this highly sought after musician lend his amazing talents on twin Fiddle and Guitar whenever he can.

 

 

Demetrios Kakavas


A percussionist for over 30 years, Demetrios has experience in every style of music there is. Currently working on his music degree, we are excited to have this major talent lend his metronomic skills to the Eastman String Band.

 

 

 

 

Tina Catalanotto


This Louisiana native has been a freelance musician for the past thirteen years. Holding a degree in Jazz Studies from The University of New Orleans, she has performed at many top venues in New Orleans. Currently a Maryland resident, we are extremely happy when Tina can sit in with us in between her duties as MU1 in the U.S. Navy.
